Alec Baldwin is asking that his voice and name be extracted from an upcoming documentary film about Arnold Schwarzenegger's gubernatorial campaign in California. Baldwin contends that the Running With Arnold filmmakers crossed the line by including imagery of Nazi rallies. Initially when approached by producer Mike Gabrawy, the staunchly Democratic Baldwin had committed to the film on the basis of the script, but since screening the film last month he has revised his position. Despite his belief that Schwarzenegger is unqualified for his current political position, he does not condone the filmmakers attempt to associate the Governor with the Third Reich. On Huffington Post, Baldwin candidly states, "I am certainly not a supporter of Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think he was unqualified for his current job when he ran in the bogus recall election. I believe he is unqualified for that job today. But Schwarzenegger deserves to be treated fairly and the film's images of Nazi rallies were over the line." According to Baldwin, the filmmakers have refused to uphold his request for removal from the documentary, citing that distrubution delivery dates prevent them from obliging. As a result Baldwin has had his attorney issue a cease and desist order against the filmmakers who insist they are moving forward with the film's distribution. Running With Arnold was Directed by Dan Cox, who also co-wrote the film with writer Jerry Dexter.
